Hello guys and welcome back to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons blog category! Today we want to catch up a bit on the updates from last month, most of which is actually still valid for the following months. Let’s dig in!

The Able Sisters

In New Horizons, the Able Sisters shop initially is not present on the deserted island and therefore, it must be built. After Nook’s Cranny is built, the player will encounter Timmy and Tommy speaking with Mabel about selling her wares on the island. From then on, Mabel will appear in the Resident Services plaza at least once per week and sell a small selection of clothing.

If the player purchases at least 5,000 bells worth of clothing throughout two or more of her visits, then on Mabel’s next visit, she will reveal that she and Sable have decided to open a shop on the island and ask the player to choose its location.

In order to bond with Sable (the oldest sister), though, you will need to insist on speaking to her daily even if she will complain at first that you disturb her, and shout at her sister to take care of you. Once you become friends, she will give you patterns of cloth that you can use for decorating your furniture.

Label, on the other hand, is not working directly on the shop, but rather focusing on design. She will ask you to help her recreate a specific theme, in order to learn about your design preferences. Then, she will sent you some clothing coupons that you can use at the Able Sister’s tailor shop for a specific textile that you like.

Redd’s Art Gallery

Here comes into play a merchant named Redd that sells various works of art – comprised of paintings, sculptures, but also fake art as well!

Many of these are directly referenced from famous works of art all over the world, but Redd has a tendency to sell forgeries that only a keen eye can spot.

With that being said, here comes another update….

Museum Extension: Works of Art

Though you can accidentally purchased and display forgeries, Blathers will not take forged artwork to display at the museum, so deducing which are genuine items that Redd sells is important to expanding your museum.

Leif

Starting with the latest update, you will be able to get Leif into your main square. He will offer a variety of flowers and bushes, as well as a special price for selling the weeds. The variety will allow you to buy different gardening products each time the characters visits.

K.K. Slider Concerts

Do not forget to go and ask for a special song as a request every weekend when the character performs a concert on your island. Those Miles for concert attending will be hard to achieve!

May Day Tour

Once the 1st of May is here, you will be able to use, once, the May Day Tour. You will need to use your skills and the minimum resources to manage to go through a maze, at which end lays your prize!

Even if it is not a new feature, just realizing you can make nerdy Star Wars or GOT song as a theme for your city was way to cool not to mention it!

Birthdays

If it happens for you this in the previous months, it might not be hot news! For me, my residents birthday only started coming this month. It is fun to visit your favorite island friends… but don’t forget the present, as they will expect one!

Museum Day

Towards the end of the month, you will be able to get stamps daily into the Fish, Bugs and Fossil Collection. The price will be the same every day, but you can always sell the extra pieces!

Update on my town: LAST FOSSIL!

So after I found the last T.Rex. piece, I officially finished all the fossils that can be donated to the museum. Here it is… completed! Yuhuuu.

How is it to go visit and say ‘hi’ to a friend while he just puts himself on the toilet and takes a book to read the moment you enter?
